Thoughts for a Happier New Year

yumThoughts for a Happier New Year . . . last year was pretty challenging, friends, and this one may be even trickier. Here a few reminders to myself that I’ve been mulling over – perhaps some of them will be useful to you, as well.

Get outside, every day.
Practice yoga.
Keep the house tidy, but stop obsessing about getting it perfectly clean.

Sing.

Gather with friends.  Often.

Hugs and kisses are good medicine.

Read books, especially spiritual ones.

What are your thoughts for enjoying another year we’ve been given?

P.S.  My poetry book is for sale now!  Kind of amazing.  Ok, super amazing.  :)

Okay, Ella is looking so very big, all of a sudden!
Your list very much resembles mine, from the yoga to house cleaning, to spiritual books.
Hugs to you, and a happy new year!

Oh my goodness, all you have to do is look at your two beautiful children and realize what gifts you have been given.
    They are getting so old.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year and I still having something to get out to you.
    Love, Tonya

I think 2013 was a tricky one, too. For me, I am finding a huge benefit from being mindful. Don’t worry about the past, don’t worry about the future, WORK at staying present. I love following your family! xoxo
