Finishing

Some things I forgot to show you . . .

I’ve been all about trying to finish up WIP, instead of starting new ones.  I finished this shirt in March for Ella (requested by her – she chose the fabric, too).

In April, I finished Ben’s Warmest Winter Hat, made with some luscious local yarn he got at the Winter Farmer’s Market in Greenfield – it’s from BarbEric Farm in Shelburne (they’ll be at the upcoming Wool Fair), and it’s soooooo gorgeous.  They spin it undyed, with the lanolin still in, making it super soft (and more water repellent!).  More hats exactly like this one have been requested, so it looks like I’ll be making this pattern yet again (and getting more yarn from BarbEric for sure)!

benwinterhatI’m almost done with a pair of socks (my first), and I’ve been darning socks like crazy – a good thing, too, since almost all of mine have holes in them.  I think I’ve finally got the whole darning thing figured out, which is making it go pretty fast.

What about you?  What’s waiting to be finished?

You do great work! I really like reading about your “WIP”s – way to finish some projects! Sometimes that’s the hardest part. :)

    Grace,
It can be so hard, indeed! Thanks for the cheer.
