Gratitude Friday – Dec 4

yogamats

Grateful that even though I rarely make it to a yoga class these days, I sometimes get to practice with my favorite partner.

Grateful and excited about some upcoming menu additions at Wheatberry.

I’m grateful that Ella has returned to a normal sleeping schedule (and grateful to have survived, mostly gracefully, a week of 11 pm bedtimes – ack!).

Grateful for the start of another delicious season with Brookfield Farm’s Winter CSA – tonight’s dinner was barley-carrot kugel (recipe from Whole Grains Every Day by Lorna Sass) and crispy kale.  Yum!  It’s rough eating local, I tell you what.

Grateful for a much-needed back massage coming up this weekend, and a date with a fellow Mama, sans bebes.  Luxury!

herbcabinet

Grateful that I got our herbal medicine chest stocked up before getting struck by sickness for once!

Grateful for all the goodness to be had at Rhythm of the Home.

papermaiche

Grateful for this paper mache project Ella and I did this week, from Amanda’s Handmade Home.  Ella loved this, and asked to do it again as soon as she woke up the next morning.  “Paper matches!”

Grateful for a new life for these old poem drafts.

papermaiche2Grateful for a wonderful dinner with dear friends earlier this week.

Grateful for the way that once I start listing my thanks, they come pouring out, reminding me how blessed we all are.

Practicing gratitude is so wonderful. You have a beautiful family and home.
I will have to come up with a list today as I was feeling much too grumpy from lack of sleep over many nights with our little one.
Thank you for the reminder to be grateful for all we do have.

    Tonya,
The sleepy grumpies must be going around these days! Maybe it’s the bright moon keeping our wee ones awake. best wishes to you and your family, thanks for stopping by.

Gratitude is a wonderful thing, and not the manufactured kind that comes for sale at the card store. I’m delighted to see that you’re enjoying Lorna Sass’s recipes — that WHOLE GRAINS EVERY DAY is a winner. I found her out through her pressure cooking books and became a convert. Did you know she has two blogs — one, Lorna Sass at Large (nature and photography) and Pressure Cooking With Lorna Sass (you guessed the subject). She’s someone serious eaters are grateful for! Or is it “to”? Whatever . . . !

    Michael,
Thanks for sharing those sites – I’m definitely headed over there. Ms Sass (what a great name) is definitely a favorite of mine.

Hi! Found your blog through Quince & Quire, and I’m so glad I did. I’ve been reading most of it, and what you do is so down my alley. Looking forward to follow you and your family! Greetings from Denmark :)
