Gratitude Friday

Grateful for

the return of Butternut Squash Soup season at Wheatberry - yum!

the late garden, which keeps on quietly giving – delicious lettuce for salads at Wheatberry, giant rutubagas, and beautiful kale.

Some time spent with two of my favorite ladies.  (Home with two toddlers?  Remain calm.  Do not let them smell fear, or they will, like wild animals, eat you alive.)  Instead, try bouncing on the bed, playing with dough, and washing some wool.

Cookbooks old and new – an old favorite, Farmer John’s Cookbook – The Real Dirt on Vegetables by John Peters (I highly recommend this!) is out on my counter, and I just checked out from the library Clean Food by Terry Walters, which looks very promising, particularly if you want to learn about eating seasonal, whole foods, but don’t know where/how to begin.

Grateful for this post – which says it all.

And as always, so grateful to our bakery customers and our CSA members, for your enthusiasm, your kindness, your support.

Adrie, what beautiful gratitude that you have here.

I am grateful for such a special friend who sent words of support and care during a very trying time, and whose package showed up on my door yesterday with the most delicious smelling bread, and treasures that will forever stay in my heart.

    I am grateful for you.

    Happy weekend

I always bring out the dough for my little ones, keeps them occupied for ages. What have you coloured yours with, if you don’t mind sharing.

Louana – Of course! I used some veggie based food coloring that a friend gave me.
