Oh my. I swore when Ella was a baby that I wouldn’t cut her hair short, but would let it grow long long long. Like so many aspects of being a parent, I had no idea what I was talking about! I didn’t know that cutting my babe’s hair might have a lot less to do with fashion, and a lot more to do with this

and my inability to get hairbrush near these mouse nests, despite songs, games, and kisses. So now, short hair. And gosh darn it, it is cute. But how am I supposed to believe that this baby

has already turned into this girl?
